  • JOSH WYATT

    LEAD PASTOR, ELDER

      

    Josh is the founder and lead pastor of Charles River. In addition to serving the city of Boston, he has a passion to see the spiritual tide turn in New England in his lifetime. Josh has bachelor and seminary degrees in Religion and Church Ministries, and has started ministries for at-risk youth and families in urban housing developments along with new churches in Greater Boston. On top of his ministries in Boston, he enjoys traveling to speak across the country with a unique focus on the northeast. Josh and his wife Becky have two sons, Isaiah and Luca and a daughter Norah. He loves investing in next generation leaders, coaching his boys' baseball teams, marathon running and exploring New England. Josh and his family live in the Boston neighborhood of West Roxbury.

  • KEVIN MARANDO

    DISCIPLESHIP PASTOR, ELDER

        

    Born in Dorchester, Kevin has a deep love for the people of Boston. Today he lives with his wife, Pam and children, Zoe, Levi and Evangeline in Boston's West Roxbury neighborhood. In his free time he enjoys writing music and reading, and loves exploring Roslindale's Arboretum with his family. A graduate of Framingham State, Kevin is now pursuing his Masters of Divinity through Southern Seminary.

  • JUA ROBINSON

    ELDER

        

    Jua plays an active role in the Boston community as he serves as City Coordinator for the Devos Urban Leadership Initiative, the Jamaica Plain Mentoring Initiative Advisory Board, Greater Things Greater Boston Steering Team, and was formerly on the steering team for the Boston Prayer Summit. Nationally, he speaks with business leaders and on college campuses including the University of Virginia, University of Kentucky, University of Southern California, NC State, Harvard, MIT, and the University de Cocody (Cote D’Ivoire), West Africa. His family planted Heart Change Fellowship, a multi-ethnic congregation in Jamaica Plain, MA which merged with Charles River in the Summer of 2018. He and his wife, Regina are parents to four energetic children and live in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood. 

  • DR. DAVID BUTLER

    ELDER

     

    David has spent most of his life planting and pastoring churches. Known as a pastor to pastors, he currently leads "Send Boston", a church planting movement in Greater Boston - spanning from Nashua, NH to Worcester to Cape Cod. He and his wife Gayle are parents to three grown children and proud grandparents to nine grandkids. They live in Jamaica Plain.

  • ANDREW NILSON

    PASTORAL INTERN

        

    Originally from Pennsylvania, Andrew has been with Charles River from the beginning as a freshmen at Bentley University. He has served for several years as a faithful volunteer with our River Kids, spent a summer as an intern, and now serves our ministry team leaders and college ministries. Andrew is currently working on his Masters of Divinity from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary on the North Shore.

    Ministry ASSISTANT - COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

      

    From Walpole, Mass, Artis connected with Charles River Church as student at Bentley University. Quickly joining our worship team and jumping into discipleship, he has been a beloved part of our church family. During this season, Artis is serving our community engagement work while being developed in ministry.

  • RACHEL MARTIN

    RIVER KIDS

    Rachel began following Christ when off at college at UMass Amherst. Upon returning to the Boston area after graduation, she jumped in with Charles River Church and now co-directs our Sunday morning River Kids ministry. She has a passion to see children know and follow Jesus and aims to create a safe environment where kids can discover all that God has for them.

  • PAM MARANDO

    RIVER KIDS

    Hailing from the South Shore of Boston, Pam grew up in church which helps her cast a compelling vision for a vibrant children's ministry in a growing young church. She co-directs our River Kids ministry while impressively balancing serving as a full-time mom and homeschool teacher with two kids + a newborn!

  • BRIAN OWEN

    CHURCH PLANTING RESIDENT

        

    Brian has spent the majority of his years in ministry pastoring college students in Nashville, TN. In 2017, however, the Lord impressed upon his heart a call to plant a church for Boston that would see both college students and Bostonians know Christ and discipled in faith. After much prayer and research, his family and growing launch team will plant a church for the Fenway/Boston University neighborhoods. He and his wife, Katy, have two children, Claire and newborn Judson.

  • J.D. MANGRUM

    Born and raised in the great state of Georgia, J.D. and his wife Natalie moved to Greenville, South Carolina to plant Origins church in Greenville. Origins connected many artists and young professional to Christ. After leading Origins to partner with new churches in Boston, their love for Boston grew and God called the Mangrum family to do it again, pack up and plant their lives in Boston to start another church. J.D. is serving with Charles River Church while receiving training and preparing to plant a new church for the Boston neighborhood of Charlestown. He and Natalie have two boys, Noah and Owen.

  • KRISTINA NOWAK

    KIDS CONNECT

    Originally from Connecticut, Kristina moved to Boston to teach Spanish and quickly plugged in with Charles River. Shortly after discovering her second language, we enlisted her to help us minister to Spanish speakers at a local housing development. Growing out of this ministry was Kids Connect, our children's outreach to families in local apartment complexes which Kristina now directs. She and her husband John and son Thaddeus live in Boston's Roslindale Village.
